BIG DREAMS come in LITTLE PACKAGE
One little boy's triumph...and his mother's joy.
The impact that your teaching and yoga has had on our son’s life and on our family life cannot be measured.

THANKS TO YOU!  A beginner yoga student's realization that she CAN do Yoga!

I feel really fortunate to have encountered you in my first mat experience in Yoga.

Thanks to you and your incredible teaching ethos, you have inspired me to pursue a further                                         education in yoga.  I have been a student of dance for many years at different studios and I can attest                               to the  rarity and impressive initial level of comfort and nurturing I feel at Dream. Lisa, you are extremely intuitive to a beginner student’s needs. Your sensitivity is appreciated by my mental ego and my creaky body! I was very intimidated by yoga because I attended a “gym” class that was a very stressful and painful experience. I’m so happy to have found  a safe place to cultivate and deepen my yoga practice.                                                                                                        ~ A.T. What They Are Saying: Testimonials & Research

I felt great for TWO days after the class which has been unusual for me this past year. I’d like to pursue that approach for a daily practice.                                                                                                      ~ M.D., Olney, MD

I was at a loss as to where to turn to try and help my son.  He has always struggled with self-regulation.  As a toddler, he would tantrum for up to 6 hours at a time.  We could not plan activities, go on vacation, or visit friends since we never knew what would set him off and how long it would take him to calm down.  In preschool, he was asked to leave one school because of his tantrums and he was having trouble making friends in his new school.   Our pediatrician, occupational therapist, and county psychologist all suggested he just needed to take a breath and calm down, but he didn’t know how.  My son’s first private yoga session produced immediate results. Tantrums went from hours to minutes as my son utilized the tools he learned and was able to calm and express himself, something he was unable to do in the past.   Our son now happily goes to restaurants, grocery stores, and our friends’ houses.  He has had an increase in play date invitations as his behavior and demeanor as a whole has calmed down.  In his preschool, his teachers have noticed a difference in his ability to sit for circle time, share with others, and be patient while waiting for his turn.  What you have given me is a happy little boy who still gets upset, but knows how to self regulate and calm down.  It is a joy to watch my son take a physical step back in an upsetting situation, take deep breaths, and then calmly re-engage.  Thank you for everything you have taught him.                                       ~ F.L. Research & Facts About Yoga & Mindfulness

A personal journal entry:  "Something clicked in yoga today - I don't have to cut off my feeling and scold myself.                                                        I can be angry, arrogant, competitive, whatever, and it's actually okay.  It's not me who is not loving.  I am not the                                                    judger.  I am not bad."

I had a profound personal experience when taking one of Lisa's yoga classes. The class was a slow, very mindful flow and I experienced it as a long meditation through each movement. It was exactly what I needed. Throughout the meditative movement I felt something was stirring up inside of me, a dam was about to break.  I went home with a sense of greater mindfulness and wellness and reflected on what was happening with journaling, hoping to uncover whatever it was that began its emergence during Lisa's class.  The dam broke with a breakthrough realization in my long journey to self-love -- a voice of deep knowing came through to me and said "I'm not bad."  It was a moment I had been waiting for for a long time, and it was amazing to receive that message through yoga in Lisa's class.  Her teaching is a vessel through which amazing things can happen in people's lives.        ~ L.E. The more we learn about yoga, the more we realize the benefits aren't all in the minds of the 20 million or so devotees in the U.S. Yoga helps people to relax, making the heart rate go down, which is great for those with high blood pressure. The poses help increase flexibility and strength, bringing relief to back pain sufferers.
