Expert Educator & Trainer in Yoga & Mindfulness Education

LISA DANAHY (ERYT-200; RCYT-200, RCY-95, YACEP)

Founder and Director of INA Wellness,  a seasoned and highly successful professional in management, education, and leadership.  At the core of her success is a rich and fulfilling yoga practice and a desire to bring health, happiness and success to all those around her.

Lisa began her yoga journey in the early 1990’s. Recognizing immediately the physical benefits of yoga and gradually uncovering its profound spiritual dimensions, Lisa was moved by her practice of Kripalu Yoga. In 2011, Lisa completed her 200-hour certification in Pranakriya Yoga, a classic form of Hatha yoga taught in the tradition of Swami Kripalu. Shortly thereafter she obtained additional certifications in Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra ®, Dynamic Gentle Yoga, Therapeutic Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Kripalu Yoga in Schools, and Radiant Child Yoga.  She most recently completed the Radiant Child & Family Yoga 200-hour yoga teacher training and through private instruction with Shakta Khalsa, the founder of Radiant Child Yoga, has become a Radiant Child yoga teacher training facilitator.
Lisa is a published author on yoga and mindfulness education, most recently completing a five-article series that appeared in Teaching Young Children, a publication of NAEYC.  Her long-time interest in serving adults and children is supported by a BA in Psychology and over 30 years of experience as an educator, former school administrator, and human resource manager. Lisa now leads private and group classes for students of all ages and off-site trainings and workshops for schools, businesses and organizations throughout the DC area as the founder and director of INA Wellness and as an instructor at Dream Yoga Studio in McLean, VA, M Street Yoga, in Washington, DC, and The Happy Yogi in Fulton and Olney, MD.
Lisa believes that yoga is a building block for creating a community of active, aware, and compassionate citizens. Yoga is a practice that brings strength, joy and richness to live. Whether in corporate team building, developing cultural competencies, or inspiring individual growth, Lisa weaves yoga into lesson plans and workshops to create real, active, and substantive learning experiences for all of her students. Lisa aspires to be, in the words of Swami Kripalu, a "Pilgrim of Love" and is committed to improving health, enhancing resilience and building community through yoga and mindfulness education.

MEGHAN LALLY  (MA, Museum Education, Children's Yoga Certification)  has always been involved in the world of education. While completing a degree in Communication and Psychology, she began working in early childhood education. She worked for several years with children ages 0-5 before becoming the Director of Education at the Friendship Children’s Center, concentrating on curriculum development, arts integration, and teacher training. Feeling strongly about the use of arts in the classroom, and the power of objects to teach young children, Meghan moved from DC to New York to pursue a degree in Museum Studies and Art History. She completed research and a Master’s Thesis examining early childhood education in museums. During her time in New York, she served as the Manager of Education Programs at El Museo del Barrio, New York’s leading cultural institution celebrating Latino arts and culture. Here she had the opportunity to work with students of all ages, parents, and teachers both in and out of the galleries. She designed a series of workshops to educate parents on the integration of arts into their child’s education. She has led numerous workshops for educators and developed a training series for museum educators on conducting gallery tours and workshops using a variety of methodologies. Meghan is now a museum educator for the Art Around the Corner outreach program at that National Gallery of Art. Based on Harvard Project Zero Artful Thinking Routines she designs curriculum for DC Public School students in the program and leads gallery tours and workshops. She is currently focusing on developing the family programs component to Art Around the Corner and exploring intergenerational learning. She is a strong advocate for the arts and early childhood education. She recently joined the faculty at The George Washington University, her alma mater, as an adjunct professor of Communication. When not in the classroom or a museum, Meghan can be found sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, practicing yoga, cooking for her friends, and exploring our nation’s capital.
